Animal Gardens

We had the most amazing time at the Animal Gardens yesterday! Once we got off of the bus we went into an arena and saw some rare animals. We saw and albino skunk, an albino raccoon, a silver fox and many more! Then, we went on a wagon ride into the woods where the kids were able to pick out pumpkins. Afterwards, we saw a bird show and a dancing horse show. It was so neat! Below are some of the pictures from our adventure.

Feedback

With conferences coming up and second quarter beginning, I would like some feedback from all of you.  There is a form below to fill out, if you have time.  Your kids are incredibly important to me and I want to make sure that I am doing everything I can to accommodate them (and you).  Thanks in advance for your help!

Conference Times

Today you will be getting a reminder about your conference time in communicators.  Let me know if the time scheduled doesn't work for you.  Click here to see the master schedule.
Also, report cards are in communicators.  If there are any immediate questions or concerns that you don't feel can wait until conferences, feel free to contact me.  I am more than happy to discuss your student.

Next week we have the field trip to the Animal Gardens on Thursday and our Halloween celebration on Friday.  On Friday, do not send your student to school in their costume,  We will change into them before the parade.  Also, in the newsletter from the office, that is in communicators today, there are guidelines for costumes.  Please make sure you refer to that when making costume decisions.  The parade will start at 1:45 that day.  Please find a spot in the school to watch the parade and then you are welcome to come to the party that follows the parade in our classroom.  The party will not take the rest of the day.

Here is an oldie but a goody ... Have a great day!

Torstenson Field Trip and Some Planting

We had a very productive and fun time last week.  It was end of quarter, which meant a lot of assessments and the kids were so cooperative.  Then, we were able to spend some time at the ICF property with the rest of second grade and Mr. Hoffman learning about nature and doing some pumpkin studies!  There are pictures below!
