Our Mini Trip

On Friday, we went to the ICF property again and had a BLAST! When we got there, we had the kids make predictions or a hypothesis about what would happen to jelly beans when we put them in different solutions.  Then, along with Miss Hoffman's class, we went out side and hunted for eggs that contained different activities inside.  Some included, sit ups, hopping, hula hooping and much more.  My favorite might have been to walk like a bear backwards (Grace and Zacq had some fun with that one, check out the pictures below). After that we went back inside to do our jelly bean experiments.  The kids had so much fun observing and recording the results.  We ended the day with some play time outside.  It was a great ending to a great week!

Grace definitely got stuck in the woods when she was walking like a bear.  Zacq and I eventually helped her out:)

Star Lab

Until Thursday, I had never had the pleasure of enjoying Star Lab.  It was AMAZING! Make sure you ask your kiddo about it.  We had a great time! Here are some pictures!

Bring on Spring

I have not updated in awhile because, we have been SOOOOOO busy here at school! We have been making kites, learning about planets, creating constellations and so much more! Below I updated you on our adventures with pictures.

Here are a few dates to keep in mind....

March 19- Science night at the elementary school @ 6! (I hope to see you there!)
March 20- ICF field trip in the afternoon
March 27- 1:35 dismissal and then... SPRING BREAK!
April 7- Come on back to school for the home stretch of second grade!
April 14- 6:30 Talent Show @ the high school
May 15- Second grade field trip to The Museum of Science and Industry (7:20-4:20)

We played outside!

My favorite thing about this group of kids is how they play together.  Most kids do their own thing in small groups but, they all play a group game together outside.  I love it!

Zacq's face is priceless!

Cutting out bows for their kite tails.

Cutting out their kites...

Measuring their T for their kites.

We had a Dr. Seuss day at the beginning of March where the kids traveled to six different places to learn and enjoy the many accomplishments of Dr. Seuss.
